Meet Hannah
Welcome. I'm Hannah Overlock, and I'm delighted you are here. As a licensed Acupuncturist and Shiatsu Practitioner based on the East End of Long Island, my mission is to guide individuals towards optimal health through the principles of acupuncture and East Asian Medicine. My aim is not just to treat health concerns but also to empower each patient with knowledge about their well-being.
After graduating from Columbia University in 2012, my journey has been dedicated to the study and professional practice of wellness across various modalities. My passion for traditional East Asian medicine is deeply rooted in the belief that individuals have an innate understanding of their own bodies; all they need to do is listen.
I firmly believe in the body's inherent intelligence and its ability to heal itself. As an acupuncturist, my focus lies in attentive listening to the patient, enabling precise diagnosis, and determining the most effective treatment. Whether it's pain management, injury recovery, addressing low energy levels, or common digestive discomforts, acupuncturists and health practitioners serve as guides, assisting each body in rediscovering its own healing capacity.
My dedication extends to working with women at every stage of life, including motherhood, and working with children. I understand the challenges of obtaining the right care for our kids, and I feel honored to be a part of that support system for families.
My mission is to empower patients in their healthcare journey, unlocking the wonders of our innate healing capacity for a life experience marked by comfort and wholeness—both mentally and physically.
Over the past decade, I've collaborated with private clients, studios, clinics, and integrated wellness hospitality teams. With qualifications as a Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Zen-shiatsu Practitioner, Registered Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, and trained herbalist, I bring a unique perspective and approach to health. My toolkit includes various modalities such as moxibustion, acupressure, cupping, herbal medicine, yoga exercises, and breathwork.
I earned my Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health and Science in New York, complemented by undergraduate studies at Columbia University and Bard College. Additionally, I've completed over 1,000 hours of Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga therapy training, holding certifications as a zen-Shiatsu practitioner and Reiki Master.
